Jan's Perfectly Baked Salmon

In honour of Mother's Day, we're sharing Jan Brown's renowned salmon recipe. Known for its simplicity and deliciousness, Jan's method involves seasoning the fillet with a dash of white wine and a hint of dill. It's a family favourite that's sure to impress. 

Ingredients: 

  • Salmon fillet (one per guest) 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • Lemon juice 
  • White wine 
  • Fresh dill sprigs 

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C. 
  • Place a piece of baking paper on a baking tray and lay the salmon fillet down. 
  • Season the salmon with salt and pepper, drizzle lemon juice over the salmon and gently pour a splash of white wine over the top. 
  • Place fresh dill sprigs on top of the salmon. 
  • Fold up the baking paper to create a parcel, ensuring it's tightly sealed. 
  • Bake for 10 minutes. 
  • Carefully unwrap the parcel and serve your perfectly baked salmon.
